Essential Settings

0.1 Enable "Shoot Without Lens"

Because the Retropia® Lens is fully manual, some cameras won’t detect it right away. Just enable “Shoot Without Lens” (or “Release Without Lens”) in your settings — then you’re ready to capture.If your camera already shoots fine, no need to change a thing.

Shooting Tips

01. Shoot in Bright Light

For the best effect, make sure you’re shooting in well-lit environments. The lens thrives in high-light settings.

02. Use Flash (Even in Daylight!)

We recommend pairing your Retropia® Lens with a flash to bring out the authentic disposable-camera feel: brighter subjects, softer light, and that warm, analog depth.

Even under daylight, using flash adds subtle glow and film-style character you can’t replicate with filters.
